by Hans Dockter (Gradleware GmbH)
Friday, 24.05.2013, New York III, 16:00-16:45 Uhr
We will present and demo the new Gradle based Build System for the Android SDK. The new Android build system provides a highly tailored build-by-convention approach for Android builds and yet allows for deep customizations. It models the whole workflow of Android development. It starts with product flavors, build types and dependency management. It introduces a new bundle distribution format for Libraries and deals with all your testing and deployment needs. We discuss the roadmap including IDE integration and how the new build system will be rolled out as part of the Android SDK.
We will also introduce Gradle as such with a special focus on the new generic features that have been developed as part of the Android effort like the advanced incremental build.
